Interview What are the pre-conditions for creating organizations with diverse workforce? The main purpose was that more than one-fourth of the US population is nonwhite. According to statistical data till the middle of the century the figure will increase greatly but minority groups are not given qualified healthcare services. They suffer from poorer quality healthcare as well as from human treatment. The biggest part of a hospital staff consists of whites who cannot understand well believes and culture of nonwhite people; and very often there are some kind of misunderstanding because of linguistic obstacles. Thats why people of different minority groups do not receive necessary help. What type of organization is Rhode Island Hospital and what are the main principles, norms and rules of its work? Rhode Island Hospital is an equal opportunity action employer.


The Hospital recruit, hire, train, and promote a diverse workforce. The main principles are working without discrimination against job applicants or employees on the basis of race, color, gender etc. The Hospital provides all its patients and families with competent care.
