I need an opinion paper for a philosophy class (no research is needed) on the statement "And the other things on the face of the earth are created for man that they may help him in prosecuting the end for which he is created". The statement "And the other things on the face of the earth are created for man that they may help him in prosecuting the end for which he is created" is certainly related to the religious aspects of the mans divine creation and revelation. In the following essay I am going to present an opinion on this given statement as well as explain its meaning. There are numerous instances in the Bible that point out to the fact that man was created in the image of God to spread around the world, and to glorify God. Unlike animals, humans have reason and they are the only Gods creatures that can understand the Gods creation and can praise God by their actions and words. It is mainly for this reason god allowed man to rule over all beasts. This power that God gave men certainly goes together with the great responsibility that men have before God.


Unlike the animals that perish after their deaths, men, according to the Bible will face the Lord after their deaths and will be judged for the things they did on earth. Thus, everything which is created on the face of the earth is intended to give a man a chance to praise the lord, which is the end for which a man was created. The animals, plant and the elements which nowadays can be governed by men are created to make a person better understand the works of God and thus comprehend the reason why a person was created. God by giving a man these powers and mentioning them in the Bible together with the persons duties to God, gives the person another reason to believe in the scriptures and in God. The statement "And the other things on the face of the earth are created for man that they may help him in prosecuting the end for which he is created", also bears some elements of fatalism. The man came from the dust and to the dust he/she will return, and if the biblical teachings are correct, regardless of what a man thinks, he/she will die, and will face the judgment from the Creator. Therefore, there is hardly any choice for a person on this earth except for actually complying and doing what he/she is meant for. We should remember that the Adam and Eve when put in the garden of Eden were not required to do any thinking or to perform any hard labor.
