Invading Iraq Was Necessary Throughout time, mankind has experienced a lot of bloody conflicts among various nations and cultures. Be it of racial, religious or cultural differences or a number of many other things, war has almost always become the solution of severe arguments. When looking back at the distant past, it seems that war is unavoidable whenever two or more competing parties cannot agree with each other over a common solution. Thus, the question at hand is whether or not war can actually be the answer. The current conflict that is still taking place between the United States and Iraq is worth discussing. This is because people believe that if a peaceful solution is not agreed upon, our two countries, and maybe others may engage in a war.


Now, one has to analyze and then weigh the costs and the benefits that the United States has endured and would possibly endure in future due to this war with Iraq. One should think if it really was necessary for us to enter a full-scale war against this country. On September 11, 2002, the United States became victim to a rude and cruel Al-Qaedas terrorist attack. This attack caused the loss of 3000 men, women, and children. Do we have to expect for another accident? Only time can tell us what Saddam Hussein actually planed on doing with his horrible production of nuclear weapons. Former president Clinton just noticed it well, Hussein has the weapons, and he will use them.


With Husseins rapidly growing rage towards the United States, the weapons which he possessed at that moment were becoming a true menace to the American nation. As president George Bush vividly stated, A pre-emptive attack on Iraq will allow special weapons investigations to be pursued on Iraq territory, which in turn will prevent Saddam Hussein from bringing another World Trade Centre event to America. However, Hussein not only had revenge from the Gulf War on his mind. Investigations showed that Husseins plans also included the invading of the Middle Eastern countries, in turn, gaining possession on the worlds largest oil reserves. In fact, these reserves account for approximately 45% of all oil imported to America. This can lead to a position of nuclear blackmail for North America, explained vice president Cheney. To further the assumptions of the United Nations and president Bush, Iraq was constantly looking for ways to get around the conditions agreed upon by Iraq and the U.N.


after the Gulf War by placing weapons in areas such as Provincial Palaces, hospitals, and schools. President Bush emphasized, Iraq has found its way around the regulations of the U.N. Gulf War Treaty. These conditions must be re-written to prevent this. Iraq, known for its hostility, had to be prevented from possibly causing acts of terrorism, taking control of oil reserves in the Middle East, and getting away with it because he worked around the post Gulf War conditions. Since the W.T.C. buildings came down in 2001, the United States has put a tremendous amount of money into protecting themselves from being the target from another terrorist attack.


Recently, information has shown that Saddam Hussein was threatening the United States and other nations around the globe by producing nuclear and biochemical weapons. At that time, Hussein actually had 350,000 combat troops, 2,700 tanks, 90 fighter jets, 100 helicopters, an unknown number of biochemical weapons, and a possible 3 nuclear warheads, which exceeds the limit given to Iraq after the Gulf War. If Hussein wanted to, he could flatten New York City. With this idea at mind, it was clearly understood why something had to be done to prevent him from doing so. Saddam has nuclear weapons. And if he doesnt have them yet, hell have them in a few weeks, reported former atomic researcher from Iraq.


Even though Iraq has never been known to go through with a direct attack on North America in the past, Husseins weapon production factories have been closely connected with members of Al-Qeada, the group responsible for the W.T.C. terrorist attack. Hussein had been trafficking weapons to terrorist organizations for years. However, lack of proof has not allowed the prevention of this. If Hussein produced a nuclear warhead, it would be on the black market, and untraced by the United States. The risk involved with allowing Hussein to produce nuclear weapons was too high, and as Bush stated, With or without the support of the U.N., the United States will not allow Hussein to put innocent people at risk.
